Baby boy dubbed “Mowgli” after being born with two inches of black hair

When Oscar was born, he had an impressive mane of jet-black hair, nearly two inches long. Remarkably, his thick hair was already noticeable on prenatal scans, though it was initially estimated to be just half an inch in depth.

Oscar’s parents, Sara Morris and Joshua Jones, were astounded by their son’s hair and found themselves taking him for his first haircut at merely eight weeks old.

Now at 20 weeks, Oscar has been affectionately nicknamed Mowgli by his family. Sara notes the sheer volume and color of his hair are surprising given that both she and Joshua have brown hair, though Oscar’s hair does resemble his father’s more closely.

Oscar seems to be quite aware of his luxurious hair, often playing with it until the point of frustration if his fingers get entangled. His parents discovered his unique trait during a scan following a week of severe heartburn experienced by Sara, who also battled gestational diabetes during her pregnancy.

Upon his arrival, Oscar’s resemblance to the iconic jungle character was undeniable, prompting the family and friends to adopt the nickname Mowgli, a moniker that suits his playful and mischievous personality.

Currently, Oscar’s hair measures an astonishing five inches in length, drawing attention and admiration wherever he goes.

Oscar’s story is a delightful and charming tale, perfect for sharing and bringing a smile to others. Feel free to spread the joy and the story of Oscar, the real-life Mowgli, on social media.
